Trip Informations
Travel to Bali and discover Indonesia's beautiful island escape. Dotted with small, character-filled villages, smouldering volcanoes rising out of lush rich fields, paradisical beaches and colourful reefs, Bali is everybody’s favourite getaway for a reason! Conquer the slopes of simmering Mt Batur, explore an underwater world in Bali Barat National Park, feast on delicious local cuisine and enjoy moments of absolute peace in Pura Ulun Danu Bratan – a Hindu–Buddhist lake temple dedicated to the goddess of the waters. Fall in love with the warmth of the people, the ornate customs and welcoming culture that are synonymous with beautiful Bali.
Why you’ll love this trip
Immerse yourself in Balinese culture by tucking into lots of delicious street food, meeting songket weavers, witnessing a traditional Kecak dance performance and visiting a Hindu-Buddhist island temple.
Hike to the summit of Mt Batur for a truly dazzling sunrise view that stretches across the Lombok Strait, all the way over to the peaks of Mt Rinjani.
Escape the tourists (and the heat!) in the lovely, peaceful village of Undisan, which sits in the lush Balinese hills.
Walk through the lush green surroundings of Ubud – Bali’s cultural heart – and gain an insight into daily village life.
Cycle, hike and snorkel – this trip is steeped in outdoor activities. Don’t worry, there's also plenty of free time to relax, bathe in hot springs or laze on the beach.
Is this trip right for you?
A good level of fitness is essential on this trip, as there are several physical activities included (cycling from Ubud, walking up Mt Batur at sunrise and snorkelling in Bali Barat National Park).
There is one very early start – your sunrise climb of Mt Batur kicks off at 3 am. This means you'll be walking over some gravel and volcanic rock in the dark. Head torches, warm clothing and good walking shoes are a must. The view at sunrise is well worth the effort, especially if the weather's fine!
We visit villages and small towns on this trip, where life is more conservative than in the tourist areas. You will need to bring clothes that allow your shoulders and knees to be covered for both men and women. At some hot springs, you’ll need to wear a t-shirt and shorts over your swimwear.
Bali is blessed with a consistent climate for most of the year. However, the rainy season (usually October to March) brings frequent downpours. The good news is that these rainy bursts don't last long, and it is usually still warm.

Beautiful Bali is well named. We thoroughly enjoyed our week with nine other travellers and have a new appreciation of Bali after learning more about its history and people. The Intrepid tour exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend it. We loved the home stay and the well located small hotels in each town. Local food was amazing and catered well for my dietary requirements.

Awesome trip made even more special by tour leader, Yan. Had so many experiences which I wouldn’t have had without the guidance of a local guide. Highlights were snorkelling, home cooked meal in Lovina and homestay in Sibetan village - overall, just the genuineness & warm nature of Balinese people, suksma for so many unforgettable experiences.

The Beautiful Bali tour is exactly as the title describes it! What a wonderful way to discover Bali, it's rich history, culture and it's kind people. Our tour guide was also incredible and made the journey better than anything money can buy. Wonderful adventure, highly recommended especially if you have never been to Bali before.

After previously visiting Bali almost 30 times, I learnt plenty and saw plenty I hadn't before on this trip. Definitely recommend for first time Bali travelers and worth considering even for those who have been many times before.

I absolutely loved the trip, especially the incorporation of the local homestay experience. I also loved the snorkeling on the trip, which was some of the best I’ve ever done. Rona was an amazing guide and incorporated a lot of local knowledge and experiences along the way. The small group (10) was an amazing group size for this type of trip. I’d highly recommend this tour is you’re looking to visit Bali outside of the Instagram stops and tourist highlights.

The combination of our lovely leader, Komang, and a fabulous group of people, made this a really brilliant tour. Highs were climbing Mount Batur and immersing ourselves in the culture of Bali. Definitely recommend tagging on days at the end – the island of Nusa Lembongan was like a tropical paradise!
