Don’t let the heat keep you from exploring the world! Summer temperatures can be extremely high in Morocco (over 40°C), which can make things uncomfortable. It’s essential to use sun protection, wear layers to combat the heat, and drink plenty of water.

Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.

There are a couple of long travel days on this trip, particularly the day travelling to the Sahara Desert. Rest stops will be made on the way and you’ll be rewarded with great views on the drive itself.
Itinerary
All the best bits of Morocco, from colourful cities and medinas to the mountains and the desert
If you’re looking for a two-week adventure full of Morocco’s highlights, this trip is for you! This tour is well-planned and professionally executed by a knowledgeable tour leader and local guides, which makes this experience extra special. I never imagined that a tour of rural villages, desert terrain and mountain slopes could be so much fun, especially for a 71year old person like myself. Ultimately, it was the people- factor which created this magical experience of Morocco!

I have taken two tours with Intrepid and both have been excellent. I enjoy the small groups, the fact that Intrepid works to have a small carbon footprint, the stays in local guesthouses and that the guides are lical and veey knowlegable about their countries.

This was an amazing trip/experience. Morocco is an incredible country and our leader Houssin was truly awesome. He was kind and caring and always available for advice or recommendations. Our group was made up of a wide range of ages and Houssin was easily able to communicate with all. The accommodations were all comfortable and quite traditional. Highlights were Chefchaouen, the desert camp and Essaouira.

This trip gives an amazing overview of Morocco and the difference in landscape as you travel through is amazing. The longer
driving days are broken up by many stops and breaks.
The landscape is so varied, with lush green valleys, rocky outcrops, to the bright orange of the Sahara desert. The Todra Gorge and the High Atlas mountains are truly fabulous.

The Best of Morocco is what exactly what it says on the tin - the most amazing locations and experiences wrapped up in one epic trip. Morocco is diverse and unforgettably beautiful. This was my second trip there with Intrepid and totally different to the first. I would go back in a heartbeat.
