Why you’ll love this trip
Take a short but sweet adventure that’s packed full of experiences that will give you an insight into Cambodia and the contrasts between three of the region's most fascinating countries.
Watch the sun rising over Angkor Wat as it did over 800 years ago. Wander through the ancient temples on a guided tour – with a three-day Angkor pass to cover your whole time in Siem Reap, you can explore this incredible temple complex as much and as often as you like!
Discover the countryside around Battambang on a bike ride around rural farms to meet with local producers, through an Tuuur partner and social enterprise that supports the local communities and provides training opportunities.
Experience life on the water on a boat tour through the floating villages of Tonle Sap Lake and understand the deep bond between the lake and the local communities.
Join in a confronting yet important tour in Phnom Penh to The Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and reflect on its devastating impact on the modern Cambodia.
Is this trip right for you?
If you’d like to spend more time in South East Asia, have a look at the combos that include this trip’s itinerary – Best of Vietnam & Cambodia (TVSKC), South East Asia Loop (TTSVC) and Vietnam & Cambodia Adventure (TVSLC).
There are some long travel days on private and public transport on this trip (up to 10 hours on the road), including the days that you cross from Vietnam to Cambodia and Cambodia to Thailand. It’s all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.
Some travellers enjoy Siem Reap so much that they decide they want to stay extra days rather than continue with the group to Bangkok. You are welcome to sign off the trip to enjoy more of Cambodia, however we’re unable to reimburse any unused services or provide alternate onward travel arrangements.
Itinerary
See the kingdom of Cambodia on an adventure through temples, street food carts and the rural countryside

This tour was amazing from start to finish. It has just the right amount of physicality for anyone feeling unsure and there are options offered if any activity might be too challenging. The Tour Leaders are incredibly knowledgeable, thankyou Tan and PJ, and the accommodation was fabulous. Highly recommend.

Being on an Intrepid Tour is such a wonderful way to explore parts of the world you’ve never seen. We were so lucky to have an excellent guide (Fila) that not only took us to the tourist hotspots, but also took us to places where we felt so connected to the people and their world. We felt so safe and well looked after. We did not have to organise anything! Our accomodation, activities, transport and places to eat was sorted for us. We were even given optional activities for those afternoons that were free. Highly recommended a stress free, organised destination by Intrepid.

Wow, what an epic tour! Our guide was incredible, he had so much enthusiasm and passion for Cambodia that it was contagious. We spent a whole week learning about the beauty of Cambodia, both big and small. Both the locals and the others on the tour are truly the nicest people. Unforgettable memories! One day I’ll be back!

The Trip was excellent. We couldn’t have experienced and done as much in the time we had without such a well curated and organized trip. Vannak our guide was outstanding even helping before our trip started and ended. If you love to travel and lead busy working lives, trips like this are amazing as you still get to experience the type of adventures you love but the hard work and organization is done for you.

Ankor wat is a must see, but so are the landmine rats and also the Bat cave, the bike tour was awesome and the villagers were friendly. The killing fields are a sobering reminder to value our freedom and remember the victims of atrocities.

Cambodia is a fascinating country with amazing ancient temples, beautiful shrines and a heartbreaking history of war. Intrepid taking you into the lives of locals is the richest experience of this trip. Our guide had a commendable knowledge of his country and its history, its customs and daily life, and shared his own personal story. Highly recommend this immersive holiday experience!
