Is this trip right for you?
As you travel across Borneo, you’ll stay in a variety of accommodation, from standard hotels to jungle lodges. Some accommodation may have less amenities than a standard hotel, but the unique locations and proximity to nature makes them worth it.
This trip doesn't include climbing Mt Kinabalu. If this is something that interests you, check out our Sabah Adventure (TMSC).
This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group, where space may be limited and conditions may feel a bit snug. It's all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. There are a few long days of travel as you'll be covering a lot of ground. You will, however, make stops at interesting locations to break up the longer drives. Please read the Itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.

A brilliant short break with diverse activities - wildlife sanctuaries, river/jungle lodge and wildlife spotting, tea plantation stay, WW2 war memorials and information, island stay to relax. And some local enterprises - coffee and pineapple jam/products sustainable organisations. Excellent tour leader with Belle, and safe transport through Intrepid drivers. Thanks.

An unforgettable Borneo adventure blending wildlife, culture, history and natural beauty. From orangutans and river cruises to islands, rainforests and warm local hospitality, every day was thoughtfully curated. A deeply enriching, well-organised journey that offered both adventure and reflection. Highly recommended.

I've done several trips with Intrepid and I'm never disappointed. The itineraries and guides have always been good. It's great value for the money it costs.

The Borneo tour was incredible experience. From seeing orangutan, Sun Bears and various monkeys. To paying respect to those lost during WW2 to relaxation on an island would recommend to anyone.

You won’t regret this trip if you’re an animal lover. We were on the go a lot, but it never felt rushed or a waste of time. People were amazing and the exposure to local culture was great. Seeing orangutans in the wild was awesome as was the proximity to so many other wild animals. The optional night tour was a highlight for me.
