Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Cycling allows you to get closer to authentic Morocco, whether you're riding around the backstreets of Marrakech or stopping for tea with nomads in the Mgoun Valley.
Ride a camel through the dramatic red dunes of the Sahara Desert at sunset, then settle into your camp and enjoy a Moroccan feast under the stars.
Pedal through Morocco’s diverse terrain, from the lively medinas and the Mediterranean Coast to the iconic hairpins of the Dades Gorge.
Step back in time to the Middle Ages on a guided walk through the secret shortcuts and twisting alleyways of Fes’ Medina with a local leader who knows all the best spots.
End rewarding days in the saddle with hearty local meals, like the traditional goat dinner in Mgoun Valley and street food delicacies in Djemaa el-Fna.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Tuuur Foundation partner, Education for All. Donations help them support girls in the High Atlas Mountains through secondary school, bringing a generation of women out of the cycle of illiteracy, poverty and early marriage.
Is this trip right for you?
To enjoy this trip, it’s important that you’re both confident and competent in riding a bicycle. An e-bike option is available. There are some long inclines, so a good level of cycling fitness is required. You always have the option to use the included support vehicle at any time for your comfort.

Important notes
1. It is very important that you provide your height at time of booking so we can ensure that you have the appropriate sized bicycle when your trip starts. If you do not provide your height ahead of arrival we cannot guarantee a suitably sized bike for you.
2. A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights of your trip apart from overnight train (1 night), desert camp (1 night), and gite (1 night), and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.
3. Bicycle hire is included in your trip price. Please advise your height at time of booking that we can ensure a suitable sized bike is arranged.
4. An e-bike option (at additional cost) may be available on this trip. We have limited numbers of these bikes available and they are an 'on request' basis only. A request does not guarantee an e-bike, only a confirmed booking. Please ask your agent for more details at the time of booking.

7. There's an overnight train on Day 2 of the trip. The train has four-berth couchette compartments with upper and lower bunks on each side, so you may be sharing a confined space with people outside of your travel group. this train is occasionally cancelled at very late notice, meaning we take a minivan instead.

This trip was a phenomenal way to experience the beautiful Moroccan countryside and its vibrant cities. We were blessed to have Hicham and Rachid share their culture with us and to guide us on bikes through this amazing country. Inshallah we will meet again.

Don’t hesitate to sign up for this epic adventure in Morocco. This stunning country has everything you could possibly want and the Intrepid guides and itinerary do a fantastic job of making sure everything goes smoothly. The cycling part of this tour can be challenging with long climbs, but the support of the team is there every step of the way. From the night train to the forests in the desert, to the care and attention that is given every step of the way, this trip is exceptional. This trip is not a holiday, it’s a whirlwind of sights, smells and experiences that will forever be etched in your soul. Thank you Intrepid and Mohamed, Rashid and Idris for guiding us so wonderfully and for sharing Morocco with us all . Inshallah we meet again.

Mohamed and Rachid are a delightful and funny pair of guides....they care about you, and your enjoyment of their country. Meeting their families was a privilege and a highlight of the tour. Cycled through varied scenery, often upwards! Visited several destinations, with different ambiences, to give much more insight into this lovely country. People are warm and friendly, lovely cities, splendid scenery, fun cycling. But the guides made it extra special.

Morocco is a great cycling destination and Intrepid organise a thoroughly enjoyable tour with so many highlights. We were led by Mohamed who was an excellent companion for the fortnight as well as being well-organised, knowledgeable about his country, always helpful and good fun. The accommodation is perfect for a cycling tour - clean and characterful. In short, great trip, great leader, great country and great fellow travelers.

There's no better way to experience the flavour and features of a country than by bike. Intrepid's Morocco cycling trip did this hands down! The personal knowledge and insight of our local leaders Hicham and Rachid moved this trip from a standard tourist experience to a genuine Moroccan adventure. I'd highly it!

We got to experience Morocco in March and have had all kinds of weather. We have been well looked after by our leaders and the drivers. We are now fitter and have found friends for life. Thank you, Intrepid.

My first cycling holiday and Wow, such a great way to see a lot of the country of Morocco. Sleeping bag was essential for me plus hand warmers. Useful for drying shoes also. Take cycling layers, warm clothes, water proofs and umbrella. Travelled early March and even saw snow! Loved the variation of countryside, Medina tours and the Guides, Hicham was fantastic looking after our well being. Hicham and his associate biking guide Rachid were always safety conscious. I trained a couple of months before doing Spin classes which helped. Previous bike experience essential, know your gears as you will need them. Some of the accommodation exceeded expectations and others were colder than expected, some hotels, so sleeping bag useful.

This cycle trip hit the spot. The cycling was not too long each day. The leader was very attentive and helpful when required. The whole package was very professionally organised and I would have no hesitation in booking another trip with Intrepid. This was my second trip with Intrepid and will not be the last.

I would totally recommend Cycle Morocco to anyone. I am a solo traveller and this was a great way to see Morocco and to see the various landscapes from the coast to the Atlas Mountains, as well as all the cultural activities available. I would recommend that you train and get cycle fit so that you enjoy it better. We got cold and sleet on the trip some days (Dec 2024), so ensure you bring lots of winter clothing like hat, gloves and rain gear.
