India can get extremely hot in the summer. While we aim to do our walking tours early in the morning when it’s cooler, remember to keep water on you and to bring a hat, sunscreen, a long-sleeved shirt, and anything else that will protect you from the sun.

Part of travelling with Tuuur means respecting local cultures and sensibilities. That way you get the most out of your interactions with local people and environments. We visit several temples on this trip and to enter them you must have clothes that cover to wrists and below the knee.

Our trip through the Golden Triangle achieved a lifelong dream to see exotic, busy India at its best. For me seeing how people move around, finding their way patiently was a highlight. No apparent traffic signals which would create chaos here. Like in most things, the way they do it in India just works because it has to. It’s a marvel to be seen and treasures by everyone, the history is amazing as are the forts and places of worship. Just simply amazing. The Indian way works simply because it has to!!
