Explore by foot, bike and even camel to get a totally immersive feel for this country. Cycle across mountain passes and through Amazigh villages, then hike through lush oases and towering gorges. Spend nights off the beaten path in a traditional Amazigh gite and at a desert campsite under dark skies bursting with stars. This active journey strikes the perfect balance of exhilarating adventure and cultural discovery.
Why you’ll love this trip
See a different side of Morocco by bike on two guided cycling trips where you’ll get closer to authentic Morocco, off the beaten tracks through Amazigh villages and among fruit and nut trees.
Descend out of the mountains along a former caravan route into the historic fortified oasis of Ait Benhaddou – if this place looks familiar it’s probably because you’ve seen it on the silver screen!
Ride a camel across shifting sand dunes in Erg Chebbi at sunset, then take a night desert walk and camp in a tent under the amazing North African stars.
Hike among the towering red gorges and lush green palms of Todra Valley, passing sheer red-hued cliffs and narrow passes.
Start and end your trip in colourful Marrakech and discover the Djemaa el-Fna square and winding alleys with a local leader who knows all the secrets.

This tour offered authentic cultural experiences and challenging physical ones. The value was exceptional. I never thought I would make it to Saharan sand dunes or speed down Moroccan mountains on a bike. It offered plenty of opportunities to taste local cuisine and glimpse into local life. It was a special experience and surpassed expectations.

A great value trip seeing different corners of a fascinating country. A good combination of physical activities and cultural learning. I enjoyed all destinations but the trip to the desert dunes was a highlight. The guide was excellent ensuring that our trip ran smoothly and that we gained the best experience of Morocco, this included the very sweet gesture of having tea with his family in his Atlas mountain home.

My first Intrepid trip - was fantastic. Very cool to see so much of Morocco in just 9 days. Great group and guide. Biking was super tough, but manageable with e-bike - some in our group took the van, so manageable regardless. Will likely do more Intrepid tours in the future.

Beautiful trip! I loved the opportunity to do activities outside the usual tourist itinerary that I never would have done solo. The biking was challenging but the friendly support van is always there if you want it. Our FANTASTIC guide, Mohamed Inti, worked nonstop to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Thank you!

I participated in Intrepid’s Morocco Hike and Bike. We had the most amazing guide ever, Mohamed Inti! The trip itinerary was spot on, our group blended seamlessly. The sights, sounds, smells and experiences seemed so exotic yet completely comfortable and fantastic. One of those once in a lifetime experiences! Highly recommend!

A true bucket list experience from start to finish. An action-packed adventure through stunning landscapes. The cycling is challenging for someone fit but not a regular cyclist, yet incredibly rewarding. Mohamed Inti is the kindest, most knowledgeable and patient guide you could ask for.

I did a 9 day hiking and biking trip with intrepid in Morocco. I would highly recommend this company for solo travellers and people who like lots of activity and "off the beaten path" travel. The guide was fabulous. I met wonderful fellow travellers. Great experience overall. I could not have done a trip like this on my own.
