Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Only Petra’s Treasury – one of the Seven Wonders of the World – is stunning enough to be the temple of the Holy Grail. Your pass to this sacred site lasts two full days so that you can explore every nook and cranny at your own pace.
See the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, and float in its famously salty waters. Soak up its healing minerals and lather yourself in the rejuvenating mud.
Spend two nights sleeping under the stars at a Bedouin-style camp in Wadi Rum, accompanied by a dinner of traditional cuisine, plenty of mint tea and the desert night sky.
Take a guided walk around Amman to learn about the city’s diverse history (and also to stake out where to get the best falafel and hummus).
Wake up to a Wadi Rum sunrise hike, then hop aboard a jeep for a 4WD tour across the valley featuring giant sand dunes, historic houses and a few familiar filming locations.
Is this trip right for you?
You’re the boss on this trip. There’s loads of free time to do whatever you want or optional activities to show you the way. With so much to see and do, Jordan can sometimes be expensive, so budget a little extra cash for activities that aren’t included.
It’s not all hot desert days in Jordan, as the winter months (December to February) can be quite cold. Temperatures in northern parts of the country can drop to freezing overnight. Snowfall around these areas, as well as Amman, is common. Pack smart to prepare you for varying temperatures if travelling during these months.
There is quite a bit of walking involved in visiting Jordan's historic sites, especially in Petra and Wadi Rum, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. Most of the time there is no shade so remember to bring a hat, sun protection, and sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.
This trip is part of a longer itinerary. You might be joining travellers who have already spent some time together. If you have more time to explore, you might like to check out Real Egypt & Jordan.

This week-long tour round Jordan has definitely been one of my highlights for this year!! What an incredible country! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, accommodating and enthusiastic throughout the trip, we couldn’t have asked for anyone better (shoutout to Abdullah)!! The itinerary and value for money was also great. I’m gluten intolerant and our tour guide ensured I could eat safely everywhere we went. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to tick Jordan off their bucket list.

Incredible trip, loved every second! Our tour was fantastic, short but sweet. Our guide Yazan was brilliant - he was organised, knowledgeable, and very engaging. We had maybe 50AUD worth of extra activities and that covered everything. Food was expensive, and with the nature of a group tour meaning eating out a lot it did add up - pack snacks. Overall what an incredible once in a lifetime adventure, would recommend!

Such a fabulous way to explore Jordan. I was nervous to plan my own itinerary so intrepid came in very handy! Absolutely love the pace of the itinerary, the people were so hospitable and kind. The level of independence in Petra was perfect. 10/10 recommend to anyone considering coming to Jordan. Also Madaba is worth spending a day or two in more, such a beautiful place.
